University of Connecticut University Information Technology Services Antivirus

Goodbye Symantec. Hello Microsoft + ClamXav.

As of July 1, 2012 the University will no longer license Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) as our official campus antivirus product, instead offering Microsoft Forefront (Windows) and ClamXav (Macintosh). All installs of SEP on University computers must be removed on/before July 1st. See Service+Support for more information on the "why" of this licensing transition.
